About Haver Serbia

Haver Srbija is a non-profit, non-governmental, educational organization that promotes a diverse and inclusive society in Serbia. It was established in January 2013.

Haver Srbija advocates against prejudice, discrimination, anti-Semitism and xenophobia, fosters intercultural dialogue, develops individual skills for creating inclusive intercultural environments, and spreads tolerance through informal education.

Through Haver Srbija, we aim to introduce Serbian society to the culture, history and traditions of

the Jewish people. We also aim to develop community members’ Jewish identities by encouraging them to be actively involved in the organization, such as by teaching Jewish subjects. Through these efforts, we hope to contribute to a democratic and diverse Serbian society, and to peaceful coexistence among citizens. Haver Srbija combats and confronts prejudices, misconceptions, and discrimination with an aim to improve the position of minorities, to promote the sharing of cultural experiences, and ultimately, to increase understanding, tolerance, and mutual respect of religious and cultural diversity in Serbia.

Haver Srbija fulfills its mission and goals by creating and realizing educational activities, open discussions, lectures, seminars, exhibitions, programs and training. All of these efforts are based on our Jewish ethics, values and strong Jewish morals.

Our target groups are:
